Boston Athletic Association community grant program launches second round for 2024

BOSTON – The second round of the 2024 Boston Athletic Association Gives Back Grant Program is open for applications from today – August 5 to August 19.

The B.A.A. Gives Back Grants launched in 2023, with 32 organizations in Massachusetts having benefited since its inception. To date, the program has awarded $400,000 state-wide to nonprofits that advance the B.A.A.’s mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports, especially running, in order to build healthy communities.

Scott Stover, Chief Marketing Officer at the B.A.A. said, “Our application process is open for the second round of grants this year, and we are looking forward to receiving interest from organizations across Massachusetts who do valuable work in health and wellness programming. The B.A.A. strives to support new and current partners with their community efforts to advance our mission, and the impact we can all have by working together is immense.”

Grants from $5,000-$15,000 are available to eligible organizations.

Entry Criteria:

The competitive application process is open to all nonprofit organizations that meet the following criteria:

  • Organization is a registered 501(c)(3) or a public agency.
  • Organization is not political.
  • The organization’s program advances the B.A.A.’s mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports, especially running, in order to build healthy communities.
  • The organization is located in and serves residents of Massachusetts.
  • Organizations are eligible to receive funding once per calendar year.

Unsuccessful applicants who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply again in future rounds.

Closing date for applications: August 19, 2024.
