Influencer New York Nico scouts for talent and Peloton Instructor Becs Gentry goes around the world in seven days

New York, August 1, 2024 — Nonprofit New York Road Runners (NYRR) dropped Episode 56 of its NYRR Set the Pace Presented by Peloton podcast today featuring 17-time Paralympic medalist Oksana Masters and six-time Paralympian Aaron Pike as they gear up for the Paris Paralympics this month. Pike, engaged to long-time girlfriend Masters, is the American record-holder in the wheelchair division of the marathon and has finished in the top five at the TCS New York City Marathon in his last five appearances.

  • Aaron Pike said on NYRR Set the Pace: “I’m going to be competing in Paris in the 1,500 meters, 5,000 meters and the marathon, and the TCS New York City Marathon was our marathon qualifier. To this day, that was probably my most memorable New York City finish.”

  • Oksana Masters said on NYRR Set the Pace: “Coverage of these elite wheelchair racers in the marathons, like when they’re racing in New York, is so important for the next generation of athletes because it’s about chipping away toward equal opportunities and having us seen as equals. We’re so proud of the coverage.”
