For One Week, Everyone Will Be Admitted for $45 Before Return of Lottery in 2025

ATLANTA – July 5, 2024 – Even as people were still running, walking, dancing and cheering in Atlanta’s 2024 Party of the Summer, registration opened for the 56th Running of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race on Friday, July 4, 2025.

For one week – July 4 to July 11 – everyone who wishes to participate in next year’s Peachtree will be admitted at the Atlanta Track Club members’ price of $45, the lowest that will be made available. The offer, and early registration itself, ends on July 11 at 11:59 p.m. Early registrants will also receive a free one-year digital subscription to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“We thought it would be fun to get a head start on 2025 while memories of Atlanta’s best day of the year are still fresh,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club and race director of the Peachtree. “And this early registration period gives everyone who’s still feeling the energy of the event – participants, friends, family, spectators, viewers of the race’s livestream – the chance to guarantee their spot in next year’s race without having to rely on getting in via the lottery.”

Yes, the traditional lottery will return in 2025. At a still-to-be-determined date in the spring, registration will re-open and non-members wanting to participate will take their chances via the same lottery system used for many years before the COVID-19 pandemic. With demand increasing, non-members will register to enter a random lottery with no guarantee of participation if the race reaches its 2025 capacity of 55,000 before the lottery period closes.

Those with 2025 Atlanta Track Club memberships will still be guaranteed entry into the race at that time. Register for the 2025 event here.
