CLEVELAND – (June 10, 2024) — The 2024 Cleveland Marathon announced today it had raised $655,500 for 32 partner organizations through its Charity Program. The Cleveland Marathon has helped raise well over $4 million for local charitable organizations since its inception in 1977.
“There are really two finish lines for us, one at the events during race weekend, and the other when we see the final charity totals. What an incredible year of support from our charity runners,” said Race Director Ralph Staph. “Running is often seen as an individual sport, but when you see the power and impact of this community of athletes on Northeast Ohio and beyond, it’s inspiring. We are so proud of our role and want to thank our charitable organizations and runners for all their effort.”
The 48th Cleveland Marathon will welcome runners back to The Land for race weekend, May 17-18, 2025. Registration for all events opens soon.
The Cleveland Marathon has a long-standing commitment to the charitable community. The Charity Program allows organizations of all sizes and interests to raise funds by providing the tools and knowledge to create an effective fundraising vehicle. All charities are welcome to participate. Charitable organizations can learn more about becoming an official partner on our website.
