2024 Partnership to Focus on Community Health and Vitality
Denver, CO (November 9th, 2023) – The Denver Colfax Marathon announced today that Cigna Healthcare is renewing its title sponsorship for the 2024 Denver Colfax Marathon. This partnership comes as the health benefits provider continues to support the health and vitality of those in the greater Denver community through physical activity and social engagement.

The Denver Colfax Marathon has grown to become the largest marathon weekend in the Rocky Mountain 9-state region. In May of 2023, the race weekend welcomed a record 21,000 runners to the city. For the first time in its 17-year race history, the marathon, half marathon, and urban 10-miler race sold out before the race weekend started.

As part of its 2024 sponsorship, Cigna Healthcare will once again robustly support Girls on the Run of the Rockies and its mission to help girls stay social, active, and confident. Cigna Healthcare will pay the registration fee for more than 2,000 Girls on the Run of the Rockies participants who will race in the marathon 5K next May.

Girls on the Run of the Rockies is much more than a running program. The local chapter is a nonprofit serving third to eighth grade girls all along the Front Range. Girls on the Run is teaching girls to stretch themselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. The 10-week program incorporates key social and emotional lessons with training for a 5K.
The Denver Colfax Marathon race weekend features eight races over two days. It’s the largest participatory sporting event in Denver every year. Registration is open for the May 17-19, 2024 weekend. You can sign up now at www.runcolfax.org.
