The endurance sports industry’s premier PR partner releases digital class designed for race directors and endurance event organizers
MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – Treat Public Relations has released Headlines and Finish Lines, a new online course designed to empower race directors and event organizers to drive more press coverage of their events. The course is composed of more than three hours of videos, downloadable templates and printable tip sheets that cover PR and media relations, along with other marketing communications tools like social media, email marketing and more. The course is taught by Meg Treat, APR, Owner and Principal of Treat Public Relations. The course is now available on Treat PR’s website.
“Since launching our agency in 2016, it’s been evident that there was something missing from the communications landscape for races. So many race directors and event organizers are eager to DIY their PR activities and want a trusted resource made just for them,” said Meg Treat, Owner of Treat Public Relations. “In a sea of online courses regarding marketing communications and PR, this course is tailor-made for our endurance event community – with the unique needs of races in mind every step of the way. Headlines and Finish Lines makes these important skills more accessible, and I’m looking forward to seeing students secure news coverage for their events!”
The course currently features three main modules:
● Communications Basics, covering general tips and trips on strategic communications as a whole, as well as specific insights into social media, email marketing and more
● Assessing Your Current Comms, covering common communications mistakes and how to conduct a communications audit for your event
● Media Relations Tools & Tricks, which instructs on how to create press releases, media alerts, video news releases, press resource centers and media lists
The Headlines and Finish Lines online course is accessible anytime through an online learning portal. Students can guide themselves through the course at their own pace. Once a student is signed up, they have continuous access to all of the course elements. New materials and videos will be added periodically for no additional cost to existing students.
Treat Public Relations offers a variety of done-for-you services, including communications audits that evaluate an event’s current communications strategies and two signature PR packages.
