CLEARWATER, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2023) – The Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series is a best-in-class running series Bringing Fun to the Run® through music, entertainment, and community immersion all combining in the Sunshine State to provide an unforgettable running tour of Clearwater. Rock ‘n’ Roll Clearwater offered runners and walkers alike distances of half marathon and 5K plus a KiDS ROCK event.
Participants kicked off the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 7 with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series 5K and KiDS ROCK events.
On Sunday, Oct. 8, it was all about the half marathon with thousands of participants taking part in the running tour of the Gulf Coast. Austin Lavin (Glendale, Ariz.) crossed the finish line first for the men with a time of 1:11:50 and Katie Sherron (Tallahassee, Fla.) was first to cross the line for the female with a finishing time of 1:20:17
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Clearwater started and ended at Coachman Park offering a breathtaking experience, combining live music and entertainment with scenic routes that showcased the stunning views of the white sand and crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
On-course entertainment included the likes of Glass Half Full, The Toxic Cats, Tampa Taiko, Crossfire Creek and many more groups put the beat in the feet of the participants to get them to their finish line. The Trop Rock Junkies, The Fulcos, Jah Movement, DJ Fresh took the stage in Coachman Park as the Encore Entertainment to close out the weekend of running with a free concert.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series road races are open to participants of all abilities, with distances for everyone, including a 1-mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, and KiDS ROCK options. Whether participants are running their third marathon, first 5K or supporting a walker who has overcome the odds, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series brings the best of the active lifestyle experience to all involved in a fun and welcoming environment.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series is scheduled to continue in the United States when it makes its way to San Antonio for the final Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series event of the year. The Certified Piedmontese Beef Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Antonio will take place on Dec. 2-3, 2023, and offer marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and 1-mile distances. Participants will be able to immerse themselves in a vibrant and prideful city with more than 300 years of history and get a firsthand view of the city’s most iconic landmarks–including the River Walk, Tower of Americas, Torch of Friendship, and more.
