First 500 Runners to Sign Up Receive the Best Prices of Race Season
DENVER, CO (August 22, 2023) – Registration is now open for the 2024 Denver Colfax Marathon, presented by Cigna. The city’s only marathon weekend will take place May 17-19, 2024. The first 500 runners to sign up for a race will receive the lowest prices of the season, saving up to $80 on registration fees.
The marathon celebrated a historic race season this past May. For the first time, the marathon, half marathon and urban 10 miler sold out, making the 2023 marathon weekend the largest running event in Denver’s history with more than 21,000 runners. As registration opens for next year, the Denver Colfax Marathon staff wants to ensure that all runners have a chance to participate.
“Whether it’s your first marathon weekend or you’ve been running with us for 18 years, this is the race you need to run to experience all the great landmarks in our city,” said Andrea Dowdy, CEO of the Denver Colfax Marathon. “We have already started preparations for another incredible race in Denver and encourage runners to secure a spot early on, so they can be a part of this iconic running weekend and festival.”
The Denver Colfax Marathon race weekend features eight races over two days: A Saturday morning 5K, followed by the marathon, marathon relay (four divisions), half marathon and urban 10 miler on Sunday. The race has always been known for its spectacular scenery and unique entertainment through the course. This race weekend is one of the top 25 largest marathon weekends in the country and the biggest running event in Denver every year.
The 2024 marathon weekend is expected to welcome well over 20,000 runners and more than 50,000 people to the city next May. To register for a race, visit www.runcolfax.org.
