Cincinnati (For Immediate Release) – Grace McCarron, the reigning Flying Pig Marathon champion, added to her hardware this weekend as she won Saturday’s 9th annual Queen Bee Half Marathon championed by Medpace in a time of 1:20:42.

Second in the female-themed event was 27-year-old Sydney Leiher from Washington D.C. in a time of 1:22:28 and third was 26-year-old Sarah Clark from Cincinnati in a time of 1:23:49. Clark was fourth in this spring’s Flying Pig Half Marathon.

The 35-year-old McCarron led the female division for nearly the entire event, running the last half of the course in under 40 minutes. She also is a past champion of the Glass City Marathon in Toledo, in 2021.

In the 4-Miler event, 35-year-old Amy Manning of Columbus, Ohio, won in a time of 25:58. Second was 35-year-old Beth Lagergren of Cincinnati in 28:22 and third was 41-year-old Erin Reder of Cincinnati, just a second behind at 28:23.

Both the 4-Miler and Half Marathon events sold out in the first standalone Queen Bee event since 2019. The 2020 edition was fully virtual and in 2021, the Queen Bee was held jointly with the fall Flying Pig weekend.
