We are excited to announce we are creating our very own, exclusive, WFPS RUN HAPPY PACE TEAM by Brooks!
We are looking for certain individuals who are up for this task and who would love to be part of something really special. We are seeking runners with past pacing experiences, as we will be taking that into great consideration.
We truly do want to deliver the best race possible, and with that have the best people pacing the runners to their desired goal times.
Being part of the WFPS Run Happy Pace Team by Brooks, you will get a complimentary registration to the current year’s event, and outfitted in the appropriate Brooks Pace Team gear so on race day, you are easily recognized.

Launch of this years website has been made! We are very excited to get the planning underway for 2015\’s event! Now is the time we work on all the background details of the event. With this year our biggest change will be our new registration and volunteer portal, which you the runner or volunteer will be registering with come April 1st. We are REALLY excited about!
What is new?
Our biggest change will be our NEW registration and volunteer platform. We are very excited to be working with ACTIVE.com to launch our new registration portal. ACTIVE.com brings a wealth of experience working with some of the biggest running events in North America.
Why the change?
As all our participants know, we are always striving to ensure we offer the most runner and volunteer friendly event possible. ACTIVE.com will allow our participants and volunteers a more effective registration process, an easier way to fundraise and allow our volunteer race committee more efficient ways to manage it all, in turn investing that saved time back into the event!
As a runner:
You will now have the ability to create your own runner profile when you register with ACTIVE.com. You can transfer your bib to another person, downgrade or upgrade your race distances - all on your own! No need any more to email this form, download that page, print this off, get this person to sign that form.
You can register from your desktop or smartphone with faster, and more efficient software.
As a volunteer:
You can actually select multiple jobs to volunteer for! So if you are volunteering on multiple days – we can now see that!
You will also have the ability to see volunteer details like location, times and a detailed job description.
How do I register for the event if I don\’t want to do it online?
There will no longer be ANY IN-STORE registration for the WFPS Half Marathon, 10k and 5k as the Running Room has declined to support our event due to us wanting to change our online registration platform to ACTIVE.com. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause some.
For those who wish to use paper registration…
You can still fill out a paper registration and mail it to us! Registration forms can be found on our website in which you can print off and mail in. Registration forms can also be found at various locations throughout the city to be mailed in. (City Park Runners, Stride Ahead Sports, lululemon Polo Park)
We are excited to share all these great new developments with all of our participants and volunteers. We have been working very hard for the last four years to find new and innovative ways to make your experience with our event better!
